What is City Kidz Playhouse?

City Kidz Playhouse is a non-profit musical theatre academy servicing children in middle and high school from Hudson County. Its mission is to offer an exception theatrical training program for students regardless of income.

What is the difference between Junior and Senior Division

This season, senior division will perform the musical "Mean Girls" and it is open to students in grades 7-12.

Our junior Division will be performing "Annie Jr" and it is open to students in grades 2-8. If your child is in grade 7 or 8 they can choose which show they want to be a part of. Contact us if they would like to participate in both.

Where and when do rehearsals take place?

Rehearsals will take place at:

Grace Church Van Vorst; 39 Erie Street; Jersey City, NJ

Rehearsals for Annie Jr begin the end of January through April and meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays 4-6pm with a show in April (dates TBA)

Rehearsals for Mean Girls begin Wednesdays in February and on Tuesdays-Thursdays after spring break. There will be a show (date TBA) in June.

How much is tuition?

Tuition for this program is $500 and can be broken down into monthly payments. Students are expected to fundraise for production costs and pay a one time fee of $100 for costumes.
