This introductory class is designed for students in grades K–3 who are interested in exploring the world of theater and getting their feet wet before our production of The Little Mermaid KIDS. Participation in The Little Mermaid KIDS is not required to take this class. Students can enjoy the class simply as an opportunity to explore theater, build confidence, and develop their creative skills.

Throughout the class, students will develop their ability to focus and express their creativity by exploring feelings and emotions through dramatic play. Students will participate in narrative pantomime and age-appropriate theater games, as well as explore movement and character development through a variety of musical selections, picture books, nursery rhymes, and reader’s theater.

This fun and engaging class provides young performers with a supportive introduction to theater while helping them build confidence, creativity, focus, and foundational acting skills.
